Each boss is defeated by an item that Link gains in the boss' dungeon. It only allows players to have two items at once, and Link's sword does not have to be equipped at all times, which allows for more creative puzzle solving. It retains the same style of dungeon exploration, item collection, and boss beatdowns. The Minish Cap has many similarities with previous Legend of Zelda titles. Gameplay Link, shrunk down to Picori size. The backstory it gives is similar to that of Ocarina of Time, and it introduces how Link got his iconic green cap. Nintendo have since confirmed that the game takes place second in the Zelda timeline (after Skyward Sword). It may well be the last Zelda game of the original formula. Unless you're on multiplayer. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is a 2005 Game Boy Advance game developed by Flagship and published by Nintendo. UNLESS YOU MEAN THE REGULAR GREEN GIANT SLIME AND NOT THE RED ONE. It's hard as nails, and I could barely beat it on my strongest character, which has beaten the game up to its current point.

The Giga Slime isn't meant to be fought early. the only way to heal is kill enemies and they drop health orbs. Having gone this far and not seen a single healing item beyond the health pickups some enemies occasionally drop it seems like there needs to be SOMETHING, even if it's very limited in scope. And no I don't want to hear something along the lines of 'git gud', because even Dark Souls has health potions. are there no healing items/spells/whatever in this game? I'm messing with the demo and fighting the Giga Slime thing in the arena seems incredibly punishing for such an early battle, especially one the game is herding you towards with urgings of haste.Įspecially as I was enjoying myself up to this point (though I was also feeling the lack of healing earlier) it seems like a massive oversight.
